Ashtanga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures: a process producing intense internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
Yoga Stretch is a flowing series of yoga asanas, held a little longer, mindfully, in a comfortably warm room. This is a great class for beginners or seasoned practitioners. Class is followed by a long deep relaxing resting asana (pose).
Hatha Yoga is a specialized branch of postures and techniques for health and longevity. The regular practice of Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga helps stimulate and balance the seven hormones, increases more oxygenated blood to the brain and all the organs of the body, yielding more energy, healing, flexibility, gracefulness, and youthfulness, and reduces stress. Hatha Yoga is gentler than Ashtanga, is healing for the body and mind, and aging comes more gracefully.
